The waterfront, port and park at Greenport includes two projects: 1) the waterfront park; 2) the harbour walk. The area is designed for funfairs and relaxation during the summer and winter seasons. It includes the port and the Regina Maris, an historic vessel and a ride. The main idea for the development of the park is a series of wooden constructions with various commercial activities. Two panoramic towers facing the sea mark the city’s port. In the park stands a series of streetlamps supporting a flag. A mechanism allows them to run along rails in the ground to create various light effects. An amphitheatre has been set into the harbour walk to create a kind of intimate barrier to the story of an old ship, the Regina Maris, and a carousel protected by a glass and steel structure.
